dc.description.abstractThe study attempted to examine the effect of teachers’ welfare and learners’ performance in primary schools in Kasambya Sub County, Mubende District. It was guided by the following objectives: to examine the employee welfare facilities offered in primary schools, to assess employee satisfaction and Learners performance, to find out the loopholes of employee welfare in Kasambya Sub-county in Mubende.The study specifically adopted a cross-sectional survey research design. Using simple random and purposive sampling, a sample of 113 was selected to participate in the study. Data was collected by use of interview guide and questionnaires. Quantitative data was obtained by the use of self-administered questionnaires, analysed through statistical techniques and presented in form of tables, proportions and percentages. For qualitative data, codes and labels were assigned to emerging themes, while for quantitative data, a Likert scale was used to measure the variables. The study further out thatteachers’ welfare facilities has an effect on learners’ performance; the employees are satisfied with the school welfare is a significant contribution of employee satisfaction on learner’s performance and the loopholes of employee welfare greatly hinder the learner’s performance.The study concluded that providing employee welfare facilities is paramount to enhance learners’ performance, that the teachers are satisfied with the welfare facilities in the schools, the loopholes of employee welfare is an aspect that cannot be ignored and that it would be critical to address the challenges since they greatly hinder the learner’s performance.en_US
