dc.description.abstract | nstructional design is one of the key activities in an e-learning environment. There are various approaches used in instructional design and one of them is the E-Instructional design where content is considered to be a set of reusable learning objects. Quite a number of online repositories are stocked with reusable learning objects and usually each repository has a particular learning object metadata standard that it follows. Such learning objects can be retrieved, adapted and reused in instructional design. However, there still remains a challenge in adapting learning objects with multi-format assets. The available tools for adapting learning objects assume that all assets of the learning objects are of one data type yet it is not always the case. In this paper, we present a three-step approach of adapting a reusable learning object with multi-format assets. We evaluate this approach using a prototype of a learning object adaptor tool. The results of evaluation show that this three-step approach improves reusability of a learning object that has multi-format assets | en_US |
