dc.description.abstract This article is a case study examining the effects of traditional cultural practices on modern development among the Jopadhola community of Eastern Uganda. Cultural traditional practices are ontological in the existence of the African people. Consultation with cultural traditional leaders and understanding of different traditions in the society has been found out to be very good for policy making in modern development. en_US
