dc.description.abstract The study examined the effect of supply chain management on the performance of humanitarian organisations (ADRA, South Sudan). The study was guided by the following objectives; to examine the effect of strategic supplier partnership on the performance of ADRA South Sudan, to examine the effect of supply chain information management on the performance ADRA in South Sudan and to assess the effect of logistics management on the performance of ADRA in South Sudan. This study adopted a case study research design using both the quantitative and qualitative approaches. A sample size of 114 was determined from a population of 160 using Slovene Method. Purposive, simple random and convenience sampling techniques were used to select the respondents from the organisation. The respondents were issued with self-administered questionnaires which had closed ended questions and face to face interviews were conducted among administrative staff of ADRA in South Sudan. The correlation results indicated a significant positive effect of strategic supplier partnership on the performance of ADRA South Sudan (r = 0.635 with probability value (p = 0.000). a significant positive effect of supply chain information management on the performance ADRA in South Sudan (r = 0.601 with probability value (p = 0.000). A significant positive effect of logistics management on performance of ADRA in South Sudan (r = .571 with probability value (p = 0.000). The study found supply chain management in form of strategic supplier partnership, supply chain information management and logistics management highly contributed positively to the performance of ADRA, South Sudan by 59%. The study concluded that when strategic supplier partnerships are applied in a supply chain management system, this can lead to the improvement in the performance of ADRA, South and that supply chain information management had a significant effect on performance of performance, Therefore, the performance of performance of ADRA, South Sudan can be improved once supply chain information management is effectively worked on because it helps to increase the customer responsiveness by reducing the supply and demand gap thus giving satisfaction to the end customer by availing the desired product when needed. It was recommended that humanitarian organisations and ADRA, South Sudan in particular management should develop a good system to monitor, record and track all the supplies so that there is effectiveness in supply chain management and ensure to cover loopholes in the system to enhance performance of humanitarian organisations in South Sudan and Africa as a whole. Management of humanitarian organisations in South Sudan should develop supply chain information management system for example alternatives ways of keeping goods supplied which makes supply chain information management easy and flexible so as to boost performance of manufacturing companies. Lastly, humanitarian aid organizations are recommended to boost their supply chain management by exploring and embracing advanced and emerging technologies such as big data analytics, internet of things, cloud computing, machine learning, artificial intelligence and block chain. en_US
