dc.description.abstract The current study purpose to analyse the influence of the quality movement on private students’ choice of universities in Uganda. First, the paper points out the fact that there is a quality movement in Uganda’s higher education sub-sector. Second, it was found that quality movement have a significant relationship with the reputation of a university [r (392) =.629, p<0.01]. Third, there was a significant relationship between reputation and funding [r (392) =. 596, p<0.01]. Fourth, there was a significant relationship between funding and choice [r (392) =.512, p<0.01]. Fifth, there was a significant relationship between quality and choice of a university by private students [r (392) =.636, p<0.01]. It was concluded that quality influenced students’ choices of universities in Uganda en_US
