Abstract:
The study examined the Women Emancipation on women’s employability in Bor County, South Sudan. It focusses on Save the Children International and Tearfund. The study was guided by the following Objectives to examine the impact of women’s educational rights on women’s employability in Bor County South Sudan, to evaluate the influence of women’s resources Control on women’s employability in Bor County South Sudan and to establish the influence of women’s entrepreneurship opportunities on women’s employability in Bor County South Sudan. A cross-sectional survey design was used in the study which involved concurrent triangulation of quantitative and qualitative data. The study area comprised of 120 workers. A sample size for the quantitative data was 92 workers which was sampled from 120 workers. The research employed questionnaire and interviewing methods. Data cleanup was followed by statistical and narrative analysis. Data was presented more meaningfully thanks to descriptive statistics, which made data interpretation easier. The field data was generalized thanks to inferential statistic. Tables were utilized to explain, compile, support, and wrap up the research. The study revealed that, the low level of education prevents women to get good opportunities, women illiteracy levels lead to the imagination and exclusion of women to the employment opportunities. The study also revealed that, gender equality is considered when it comes to recruiting new employees in the community, women are denied chances for new perspective to perform economic activities, and household norms hinder women to be more productive in the economic sector of the country. The study further revealed that, most organizations/households give entrepreneurial opportunities to women to expand their entrepreneurship skills, there is strengthened women’s access to information and technology in South Sudan. The study recommends to the government of South Sudan through development agencies and NGOs to consider empowering women economically through availing them low interest loans through the already organized women groups.
