The study was set to examine occupational health and safety and employee performance in construction companies in South Sudan, using a case study of Building Future Construction Company Limited, Juba South Sudan. The study focused on three specific objectives: To examine how Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) enhance employee performance at BFCCL, Juba South Sudan; to examine the influence of safety precautions on employee performance at BFCCL, Juba South Sudan and to examine how emergency preparedness and response influence employee performance at BFCCL, Juba South Sudan. The study used a target population of 210 BFCCL Administration and Management, Engineers, Builders, Porters, Property Owners and Community members. A sample of 137 respondents was selected using Neumann’s formula (2000). A descriptive and cross-section research designs and qualitative and quantitative approaches of data collection were used. The study findings revealed that personal protective equipments (R=0.716, P=0.000 < 0.005) had a positive and significant relationship with employee performance of BFCCL. The study findings further revealed that (R=.793, P<0.000) means that there is a positive relationship between Safety Precautions and Employee Performance at BFCCL. the result of (R=.846, P<0.000) on the third objective revealed that there is a strong relationship between Emergency Preparedness and Response and Employee Performance at BFCCL. The study concludes that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) enhance employee performance; there is influence of safety precautions on employee performance at BFCCL and emergency preparedness and response influence employee performance at BFCCL, Juba South Sudan. The study recommends that occupational safety and health practices should emphasize prevention and protection. Workplace deterrence structures should be prioritized; working environments and work areas should be designed and planned to be healthy and safe. Continuous improvement in occupational safety should be encouraged. The importance of this is to ensure that BFCCL adopts technical standards, regulations, and safety policies on a regular basis to adapt to technological, scientific, and social progress, as well as other changes in the work environment, in order to prevent occupational injury; this is best accomplished by implementing activities that align with OSHA
